The goals of federal agencies and philanthropic groups often coincide, and thanks to the hard work of the team behind Launch, these entities are better able to collaborate and solve problems related to international development and sustainability.

The group, which is led by representatives from NASA, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the State Department, acts as something of a matchmaker. Through a series of forums hosted at NASA facilities, the team brings together government, philanthropists and cutting-edge entrepreneurs who can pitch their innovative ideas, technologies and programs to provide solutions.

The team has hosted forums on water, health, energy and waste management. Those following the program closely say the highly-creative team has been a major catalyst for change in the areas of aid and advancing social good.
